How we live

Our home is invaded by a bunch of semi-longhaired cats, so we're never bored! Luckily our cats live together in harmony and they all get along very well.
Furnishing the house

We have thought a lot about furnishing our house to fit the needs of our cats, who have free access to almost the entire house, when we are at home. We have several large scratching posts and lots of sleeping arrangements, and we also have shelves on the walls like steps that lead to 3 big shelves suitable for sleeping just below the ceiling. All possibilities to get up high are used extensively by all our cats.

Furthermore, we have an extra room which we have transformed into a "cat room" where we keep the litterboxes minimizing the spread of cat litter around the house. The cat room is also the storage place for food, cat litter and show equipment which is all stored in large closets.
Cat-friendly furnishing of the house:
... and the garden

Our garden is safe for the cats with a fence all the way around. The fence is 180 cm tall with electric wiring on the top, so it is relatively safe, though you should never say never - a cat that really wants to escape will always find a way. Luckily none of our cats are trying to escape, so we feel comfortable letting them into the garden to which they have free access through a flap-door from the kitchen and which is used extensively all year round.
